Since 1984, on the same lane.
A family dry cleaner in Sheikh Sarai Phase-2, working out of the same shop for more than four decades. Generations of South Delhi families have handed their clothes across this counter — and we still greet familiar faces.
The shop
A dry cleaner, not a drop-off app.
There is a person at the counter who knows the difference between a wool blazer and a polyester one, and equipment that is set up for the fabric in front of it.
Lachman Sons opened in 1984 in the DDA market at Sheikh Sarai Phase-2. We are still a family-run shop at the same address, cleaning suits, sarees, curtains and winter woollens for our neighbours.
Every garment is checked before cleaning. We choose the route for the fabric, confirm the price at pickup, and finish the details by hand where they need it.
That is the whole idea, really: a neighbourhood shop small enough to notice, with the experience to care for difficult fabrics.
The long version
What four decades in one shop teaches you.
Fashion changes. Fabric gets thinner, dyes get less stable, and half the labels now say something different from what they mean. The basics of care have not moved.
The shop opens
Lachman Sons begins dry cleaning in the DDA market at Sheikh Sarai Phase-2.
Same shop, published prices
Our 2026–27 rates are online — 97 of them — so you know the price before the rider rings the bell. The counter has not moved.
What we believe
Four rules we do not bend.
They sound obvious. They are the reason customers come back.
Look before you clean
Fabric, lining, colour, work and stains are checked first. If a garment is risky, we say so before it goes anywhere near a machine.
Quote before you start
The price is confirmed at pickup. If extra work is needed, we call and ask first.
Finish by hand
Zari, sequins, beads, mirror work and delicate buttons are finished by hand. A machine press cannot be trusted with everything.
Own the mistake
If something is not right, tell us and we will review it with you and agree how to put it right.
The people
Small team. Long memories.
The person who takes your order also knows the counter, the fabrics and the follow-up. That is how a shop this size works.
Our counter team handles the booking, the counting and the awkward questions about old stains. The spotting team decides what can be saved and what cannot. The press team finishes every order by hand where it matters. And the riders know which buildings have a slow lift and which security desk wants a call first.
Bridal and heirloom pieces are given extra time and attention. If that means your lehenga takes an extra day, we will tell you at pickup.
Bridal desk
Lehengas, sherwanis and heavy zari are handled with extra care and returned in protective packing.
Spotting bench
Turmeric, ink, oil, wine and paan get an honest assessment first — and one sincere attempt, not a promise we cannot keep.
Pickup riders
Our riders count your items at the door and bring them back on the agreed date.
One last thing
Why we publish the price list.
Because “it depends” is not an answer when you are standing at your door with a bag of clothes. Our standard rates are on the website, including the ranges. If a garment falls outside the list, we quote it before we start.
